Koshihikari rice is a par-polished Japanese style sticky, short grain rice created in Japan in the 1950's by crossing two strains of Nourin Rice. It has a lower GI than most other rice including Arborio. Koshihikari rice is now one of the most popular of all rice in Japan and now grown in Australia. It is ideal in sushi, risotto and desserts.

HOW TO USE RICE BRAN It will not absorb the liquid out of baked goods like other fibre products so it is perfect in baking, just substitute for 1/4 the flour in your recipe.
